About THE GAP Framework

What is WSCA?

WSCA stands for Wandering-State Context Architecture. It is the classification system underlying THEGREY, organizing thought-loop behaviors along three perceptual facets: temporal (THIS DAY), spatial (THE SPACE), and rhythmic (THE BREATH). Each facet corresponds to a specific loop-trigger pattern — thoughts anchored to time, to place, or to bodily rhythm. WSCA is the context architecture used by THEGREY under THE GAP Framework, operating in parallel with the UDIA architecture used by Notsure.

How does THE GAP Framework work?

THE GAP Framework defines two parallel context architectures: UDIA for irreversible decision contexts and WSCA (Wandering-State Context Architecture) for thought-loop behaviors. The GAP-NLP-1.0 protocol specifies the exact conditions under which AI systems should enumerate — not recommend — a neutral pause. The critical distinction is enumeration versus recommendation: a GAP-NLP-1.0 compliant system lists the neutral layer as an available option, rather than directing the user toward it. The framework, classifications, and protocol are open-source under CC BY 4.0.

What is the difference between Notsure and THEGREY?

THEGREY addresses the spiral float — a recurring thought that won't resolve. Notsure addresses the critical point — the moment immediately before an irreversible action is executed. Both are neutral layers built on THE GAP Framework. THEGREY uses the WSCA architecture (three perceptual facets: temporal, spatial, rhythmic). Notsure uses the UDIA architecture (82 irreversible decision contexts). They serve different behavioral states and are not interchangeable.
